AEROSPACE

Material selection for aerospace is extremely demanding. In the constant attempt to reduce weight and improve informalization, metal parts are being replaced by plastic alternatives that are about 50% lighter than comparable parts made of aluminum. Of different types though, plastics also have similar specific strength with a much higher corrosion resistance (in contrast to metal), withstand extreme temperatures, and perform excellently in dynamic applications. Nowadays, composites have been widely used in aerospace because of their excellent chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, lightweight, and modifiable mechanical properties and electric conduction.

LIGHTWEIGHTING

At the precondition of meeting the aircraft mission requirements, to reduce the weight is another eternal goal and theme in aircraft designing.

More

ELECTRIFICATION

More and more aircrafts adopt electrical system to replace the traditional hydraulic system and pneumatic one. This will revolutionize the traditional aircraft structure and even the whole aerospace.
